Sometimes asking for help is the biggest step.
At some point in your life, you may experience “the blues”, or feel a little off colour. The pressures of everyday living can, and do take their toll. For most people, these feelings are temporary and pass on their own.
However, for some people these pressures are all too much, and they may be left feeling overwhelmed, distressed and anxious, to the extent that many areas of their lives are negatively affected.
Symptoms may include: sleeping, eating or drinking too much or sleeping eating or drinking too little: a lack of interest in daily life or activities that are usually enjoyable; even feelings of boredom, lethargy, or unreasonable anger maybe a sign that something is “not right”.
We’re taught by society that we can “tough it out”, or “just get on with it”, but what happens when these tactics no longer work? At times like these, asking for help may seem daunting but it’s the shortest step to start on a journey to a happier and healthier life.
